You’d think that by our senior years our legal dealings would be ramping down, but it’s just the opposite. There are so many things we need to have in place to ensure we get the benefits to which we are entitled and that key decisions are made in the way we want.
No one likes talking about what will happen when we or other family members can no longer take care of themselves, make decisions or can no longer live alone or stay in the family home. But aging is inevitable, and not talking about the big questions (“Where do I want to be?” “How do I want to be cared for?” “What do I want to happen to my things?”) doesn’t make them go away.
Attorney Lance Like will walk us through some of the issues like Medicaid/Long Term Care, estate planning, asset protection, wills, trusts, VA benefits and more.
