Get Smart – The Growth of Arts in our Community

Please RSVP by Monday, August 21!

Join us at Bell Trace in Bloomington, IN on Thursday, July 24 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm for a complimentary lunch and discussion. We will talk about the growth of arts in our amazing community over the past 20 years with Alain Barker, Director of Entrepreneurship and Career Development, Jacobs School of Music.

Bloomington has become an artistic haven. We have a high concentration of artists of all kinds and an even higher concentration of people who love and support the arts. Alain Barker will share with us the journey our little town has taken to become a world-renowned community of color, sound and movement.

Alain Barker is a force in the Bloomington community for the arts. Alain’s performance career took him nationally and internationally. He was previously the Director for the Publicity and Marketing efforts for the Jacobs School of Music. In his “spare” time from the Jacobs School of Music, Alain’s community involvement includes serving on the City of Bloomington Arts Commission, WFIU (Public Radio) Community Advisory Board, the IU Arts & Humanities Council, Bloomington Early Music and the Bloomington Rotary Club.

RSVP by August 21 to bcarroll@cardon.us or call 812-332-2355.
